Sony continues its solo adventure in the mobile market as it rolls out another handset: this time it's the turn of the Sony Xperia P.
We first saw the Xperia P at MWC 2012. It slides into Sony's range below the fully-featured Xperia S and it will sit in the middle of a trio of handsets once the budget-focussed Xperia U arrives.
If you opt to plup for a Sony Xperia P then you'll get a 1GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch display, Android 2.3 (with an update to Ice Cream Sandwich coming later in the year), 8MP camera with HD video recording, 16GB of internal storage and NFC technology bundled with a few of Sony's NFC SmartTags.
Available for pre-order today
The Xperia P has cropped up for pre-order on a couple of online retailers, with Clove pricing the handset at £330, while Expansys is asking for £339.
According to Clove, the first stock of the Xperia P is set to arrive during the week commencing May 7, which is less than 3 weeks away.
There's currently no word on contract deals, but we reckon this mid-range phone will probably slot in at around £25 per month.
