After learning all about the Samsung Galaxy S3, mobile phone users in the United States have eagerly awaited new on when the handset would be available. It’s looking like that date is going to be June 21 — so far Sprint and T-Mobile have officially announced that Thursday as when Samsung’s hottest new Android phone will be available. Update: Verizon too.
The 4.8-inch, Android 4.0-powered smartphone will be available in white and blue and then in 16GB and 32GB versions. Those two will sell for $199.99 and $249.99, respectively. Sprint noted that the 32GB model will only be available over the web.
Sprint has noted that they will have more data available at sprint.com/galaxysiii, but the page is not available yet. Pre-orders will start there tomorrow, June 5th.
The US model of the Galaxy S3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 and has LTE, while the LTE-less European version was made available on May 29th. That version is powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip.
