Golf 6 R Cabriolet: Drop-top perfection

Last week at the Austrian Worthersee Fest, we saw the Golf 6 GTI Cabriolet. Now we are finding out about the R cabriolet. A Chinese website has released a picture of the meaner golf with official information.

Cutting the lid off a hatch while retaining an appealing style is explicitly rare. However, the Golf R seems to pull it off(no pun intended) without any blemishing. The Chinese source also mentions that the sexy drop top will exhibit every detail and spec off its harder full bodied brother, including a 0-100km/h dash around 6 seconds.

What more would suit a sunny Camps Bay cruise?

Judging by the expectation of the next generation Golf 7 sometime next year, VW would try to push this baby out sometime near the end of 2012.
